Nichols Fire Rescue is a volunteer organization. We are committed to the safety and well-being of our residents and visitors. We have three station, strategically placed to allow the quickest and safest response to areas throughout our district. We offer, Fire protection, Basic Life support EMS response, hazardous material mitigation, rescue, community fire prevention and education services. Currently we have 20+ members responding to emergencies and assistance calls in an area of roughly 50+ square miles. We are primarily volunteer, but currently provide on-duty fire protection Monday-Friday 8AM to 4PM. We are always looking for more volunteers! Click here to get more information on joining.
The Nichols Volunteer Fire Department shall strive to provide quality emergency services to the Nichols Fire Protection District with the resources provided to us. We serve our residents with dedication and commitment. We shall endeavor to train our members to the State of Kentucky standards while placing an emphasis on safety in meeting department objectives. Our duties are to protect life and property in the Nichols area and educate our district in fire prevention.
